At Mabella, we believe that after fifty, you should never have to choose between feeling covered and feeling beautiful. 

For so many women, getting dressed slowly turns into a list of rules.

Cover up. Tone it down. Dress your age. Wear something dark. Just throw a cardigan over it.

And somewhere along the way, clothes stop being something you enjoy and start being something you hide behind.

Mabella was created around a different idea:

You can cover what you want, and still feel completely, beautifully yourself.

THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME

Mabella is named after my grandmother, Mabel.

She was one of the most elegant women I have ever known. But every single morning, no matter the weather, she reached for a cardigan to cover her arms. Even in July. She never felt comfortable showing them, and I never forgot that.

Years later, past fifty myself, I caught myself doing exactly the same thing. My body had changed, and the stores hadn't changed with it. Everything was either tight or shapeless. Nothing in between.

So I went looking for the in-between. Mabel + bella. For her, and for every woman who has ever stood in front of the mirror wishing she had something better to wear.

OUR THREE PROMISES

Every piece at Mabella is chosen with three simple rules in mind:

It flatters the arms. Every style has sleeves that cover the upper arm, from elegant flutter sleeves to soft three-quarter sleeves.

It's kind to the tummy. Relaxed, flowing fits that gently skim your shape instead of clinging to it.

It's never see-through. So you can wear it with confidence, without a second thought.

If a piece doesn't meet all three, it doesn't belong at Mabella.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is simple: to help women over fifty fall in love with getting dressed again.
